Emergency Preparedness Minister Bill Blair appeared on Monday before the House of Commons Public Safety Committee to testify on the government’s interference into RCMP investigation into the Nova Scotia 2020 mass shooting. Blair insisted he didn’t direct the RCMP investigation to publicly release the type of weapons used in the deadly rampage in order to help pass the government’s ban on assault-style weapons. Blair also hailed the government’s work to pass said gun control legislation.
