The B.C. government is set to introduce Canada’s first mandatory cooling-off period for home buyers. Under new rules that take effect January 1, 2023, buyers will have three days to back out of an agreement, so long as they pay a 0.25 per cent penalty to the seller. Aaron McArthur reports.
