As new details emerged on Tuesday that Hockey Canada had a special reserve fund for uninsured liabilities that was used to cover the legal costs of sexual assault allegations made against several players from the 2018 national junior men’s hockey team, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau weighed in on the situation. “It’s hard for anyone in Canada to have faith or trust in anyone at Hockey Canada,” Trudeau said, adding “what we’re learning today is absolutely unacceptable.”
