Abbotsford native and former Vancouver Canuck Jake Virtanen went on trial today. He is charged with a sexual assault dating back to 2017. The complaint was only investigated in 2021, and Jake Virtanen has pleaded not guilty. As Sarah MacDonald reports, the issue of consent will be front and centre in the case.
