Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Bank of Canada Governor Tiff Macklem outlined what he called the “soft landing” projections for Canada’s future inflation targets, with a decline CPI inflation rates by the end of the year, and the central bank expecting a return to normal inflation rates by 2024.
