Number of Canadians living alone is increasing, with one-person households now dominant: Statistics Canada

Laurent Martel, director of the demography division of Statistics Canada, said Wednesday that the number of Canadians living alone has been increasing in Canada, with one-person households now the most dominant living arrangement in this country. He said this has likely had an impact on the demand for housing.
