In the closing remarks at the Jan. 6 congressional hearing on Tuesday, Rep. Liz Cheney disclosed that after the last hearing, former President Donald Trump tried to call a witness from the investigations who has not yet made an appearance in the hearings. The witness did not answer or respond to Trump’s call, and instead alerted the lawyer and the committee to the incident. “Let me say one more time. We will take any effort to influence witness testimony very seriously,” Cheney said.
