U.S. President Joe Biden delivered remarks on the release of the first image from the James Webb Space Telescope, saying it was a “historic day.” NASA administrator Bill Nelson commented on the image, saying that the first shot was “one little speck of the universe” and that it was showing galaxies “that are shining around other galaxies whose light has been bent.” He added the image is just a small portion of the universe.
