Pastor Robert DeJournett for Jayland Walker’s family thanked protesters on Monday for coming to Akron, Ohio in support of the family, saying “we’re hurting.” He also asked for an end to violence, saying not only should protesters not go around “tearing up stuff,” but they should also not face violence by police during the demonstrations.
