In the closing remarks for the Assembly of First Nations’ 2022 general meeting on Thursday, National Chief RoseAnne Archibald acknowledged the controversy that has underpinned this year’s event, saying that the pursuit of transparency and accountability is a worthwhile cause. “I want to assure you, I am built for this moment,” she said. “We must leave this assembly with a hope in our heart that we are on the right path.”
