Russia is claiming victory in Ukraine’s eastern Luhansk region after capturing the final holdout of Lysychansk, a city that is key to control of the Donbas. As David Akin reports, Russia’s advances would now shift the battlefield focus to neighbouring Donetsk, where Ukraine still holds substantial territory.
