Thousands of Ukrainian immigrants were sent to 24 forced-labour camps during the First World War in Canada. Two of those camps were in Banff National Park. Carolyn Kury de Castillo has more on a man who has written a play about his relative’s daring escape from imprisonment and how that play is helping raise funds for people suffering in Ukraine.
