Addressing a press conference Monday, Canada’s Diversity and Inclusion Minister Ahmed Hussen announced the opening of the application process for anyone to apply to become the country’s special representative to combat Islamophobia. He added this person will be an expert, advocate and advisor for the government on Islamophobia, and will work with a team supported by budget 2022 funding to issue recommendations.
