French journalist Frederic Leclerc-Imhoff was killed in the Luhansk region of Eastern Ukraine on Monday after an armoured transport was hit by shrapnel from a Russian shell, according to French President Emmanuel Macron. Approximately 170km away on the frontlines of the Donetsk region, Ukrainian servicemen patrolled trenches as they continued to fight off Russia’s offensive in eastern Ukraine.
