Broken child welfare systems are a result of profits being put ahead of children, experts say

Global News has received an outpouring of responses from across the country to its investigation into Ontario’s child welfare system. People say they, too, are victims of a broken child welfare system that left them scarred and traumatized. Some experts suggest one of the reasons the system is failing is because private, for-profit operators are putting money ahead of the best interests of children. Carolyn Jarvis has more.
