It is a message that is repeated over and over again–especially at this time of year. Keep your garbage bins inside to avoid attracting bears and getting them accustomed to those sources of food.
But in Summerland–the problem is so bad that the municipality has handed out several hundred warnings to homeowners but with many people still leaving bins out, it may have to escalate its action. Klaudia Van Emmerik reports.
