Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Monday evening that the discovery of unmarked graves at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School set off a reckoning for Canadians to begin to make amends and to “not just recognize the impacts that generations of history had on today, but to start to look towards a healing path.”
