Ceremony marks one year since unmarked graves detected on former Kamloops residential school site

The Tk’emlups te Secwepemc began a day-long ceremony to mark one year since the announcement of the detection of more than 200 suspected unmarked graves at the former Kamloops Indian residential school site. As Kamil Karamali reports, the ceremony is designed to help members of the community heal and prepare for the next phase of archaeological work at the site.
