Kawartha Lakes OPP are investigating a crash near Omemee that sent two people to hospital.
Around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, emergency services were called to reports of a head on collision on Sturgeon Road just south of Peace Road.
Crews arrived to find a pickup truck with a missing wheel and an SUV down a ditch.
Paramedics assessed several people at the scene, and a man and a woman from the SUV were transported to a Lindsay hospital for treatment.
No one else was injured.
