At a hearing by the U.S. House Intelligence Committee on Tuesday, lawmakers reported an increase in sightings of what the U.S. government calls Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon (UAP) since the early 2000s. This trend can be attributed to a number of factors, including an increase in aerospace “clutter” and growing capabilities of sensory technology.
