Civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump said at a news conference on Monday held with the family of victim Ruth Whifield that the mass shooting at a Buffalo, N.Y. supermarket on Saturday was “an act of domestic terrorism.” Referencing the “White Replacement Theory,” a racist ideology that is being investigated as a motivating factor in the shooting, Crump warned that this spread of hatred is indoctrinating young people to commit violence.
