NATO chief says Sweden, Finland joining alliance would be ‘historic moment’

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said Sunday that ​if Sweden and Finland ​ join the alliance, which they have signalled in ​planned bids, it would be “historic​.” He said their addition​ would increase shared security and demonstrate that “NATO’s door is open and aggression does not pay.”
