Freeland defends Liberals’ move to ban military-style assault guns

Asked by Conservative MP John Brassard on Thursday why the Liberals’ are trying to ban guns of law-abiding citizens, Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland said hunters and farmers don’t use or need military-style assault guns. She stressed that Canadian lives should be protected.
