U.S. State Department spokesperson Ned Price on Wednesday called for an investigation into the death of veteran Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh during an Israeli raid. Pressed on who should conduct that investigation, he said the Israeli government “has the wherewithal and capabilities to conduct a thorough and comprehensive investigation” into her death.
