Helen Irvine loved the force when she joined. But after some changes, the work climate changed. Irvine says the harassment, crude talk and bullying made it impossible to continue on . It became so bad, that her husband who is an RCMP officer worried that she would not be safe on the job. She finally had it and left. She says she’s telling her story now because she has a daughter and wants her to know you have to stand up for yourself.
