Dr. Julio Guerra Izquierdo, the head of the hospital services department in Cuba’s Ministry of Health, said Sunday that the death toll from the explosion at the Hotel Saratoga in Havana had risen to 31. Of those killed, 17 were men and 14 were women, according to his figures. Four of the dead were children.
