An emotional gathering along Calgary’s Memorial Drive marked Red Dress Day. Garments were hung in every quadrant of the city in honour of Missing, Murdered and Exploited Indigenous People (MMEIP). But as Jill Croteau reports, organizers worked twice as hard this year after a number of the symbolic dresses were taken down by road crews.
