Ontario Premier Doug Ford met with Lt.-Gov. Elizabeth Dowdeswell on Tuesday to officially start the provincial election period. His recommendation to Dowdeswell to dissolve the provincial parliament has been accepted, and the election campaign will officially start Wednesday. Speaking to reporters on his way to the Lieutenant Governor’s office, Ford said that on “June the second, we’re going to have a choice, and we’re going to make sure this province continues to prosper.”
