Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced Wednesday the construction of two additional “transit-oriented communities” along the Yonge North Subway Extension, which he said would bring 40,000 new homes and 19,000 new jobs. He also announced a fifth station, serving Markham, Thornhill and York Region.
