It may be an inconvenience now, but project officials say it will be a much safer road in the long run. Starting April 19, the stretch of Highway 1 east of Golden, B.C., will be closed for a month. As Jill Croteau reports, the construction is part of the final phase of the Kicking Horse Canyon project, which will upgrade part of the highway from two to four lanes.
