Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny event draws hundreds of spectators to Port Hope

After a two-year hiatus, the race and festival event saw almost 400 people braving the Ganaraska River in Port Hope. Honouring the Port Hope flood of 1980, the event is now in its 40th year and has cemented itself as a regional celebration.

CORRECTION: While they were very close, the Canton Vikings came in second place, not first as was broadcasted. The Cursed Bog took the winning spot in this year’s event once all the times were tallied.
