COVID-19: Not all B.C. businesses may remove the vaccine card requirement

Dr. Bonnie Henry said Tuesday some businesses in the province will want to keep mask or vaccine requirements in place despite the lifting of the official order. She said private businesses can decide on their own safety protocols. While some B.C. businesses and employers can still require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a term of employment, provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry said her focus has always been on the health-care sector where all employees will need to be fully vaccinated to retain their employment.
