United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Gutteres called for an independent investigation into exactly what took place in Bucha, Ukraine following reports and images showing the aftermath of the alleged killing of civilians by Russian troops. Gutteres told the UN Security Council that he was “deeply shocked” by allegations of rape and sexual violence in Bucha that have also begun to emerge.
