During Monday’s question period in Canada’s House of Commons, Conservative MPs pressed the Liberal government on the price of housing in Canada. Melissa Lantsman, a Conservative MP from Thornhill, Ont. brought up a billboard from Toronto that read: “Can’t afford a home? Have you tried finding richer parents?” she said. “As sarcastic as it is, it gets your attention on the out-of-control state of our housing market,” Lantsman said. Liberal Housing minister Ahmed Hussen shot back saying the Conservatives have “no credibility on the issue,” and that the Liberals “will do everything possible” to make sure Canadians can afford homes.
