Russia-Ukraine conflict: More than 4 million people have fled Ukraine as food crisis looms

The number of Ukrainians fleeing abroad reached 4 million, United Nations’ Refugee Agency (UNHCR) commissioner Filippo Grandi confirmed on Wednesday, as he met with refugees in Lviv. Plus, the UN food chief warned on Tuesday that the war in Ukraine was threatening to devastate the World Food Programme’s efforts to feed some 125 million people globally because Ukraine had gone “from the breadbasket of the world to breadlines.”
