Ontario Premier Doug Ford remained quiet on Sunday about if a possible child-care deal with the federal government might be announced this coming week, telling reporters to “stay tuned,” though he has previously said a deal was coming soon. However, he added that while they’ve worked “extremely well” with the federal government, he’s said multiple times that the $10.2 billion on offer for its share of the national deal being made with provinces and territories is not enough to give the $10-a-day child-care.
