A Mi’kmaw woman is part of a select group of Indigenous elders and leaders who will soon travel to the Vatican to meet Pope Francis. The aim of the trip is to finally secure an official apology form the pope for the trauma caused to survivors of the residential school system. Alexa MacLean has the first of a two-part series.
