Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on Thursday two government programs to help Ukrainians fleeing war to come to Canada. Those who want to come temporarily will be able to apply for a Canada-Ukraine authorization for an emergency travel visa, and those with Canadian family members will be able to apply to a special family reunification sponsorship pathway towards permanent residence.
