World Health Organization (WHO) Secretary-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said Wednesday that while he is pleased to see COVID-19 case numbers decreasing in countries around the world, “it is far too early to declare victory” over the coronavirus. He said with high transmission of COVID-19, the threat of a dangerous new variant “remains very real.”
