Speaking at the United Nations Human Rights Council on Tuesday, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke out against Russia’s abuses of human rights as the country continues to violently invade Ukraine. Notably, he condemned Russia’s stance on a free press reporting the conflict, and added that children, the elderly and people with disabilities are making “harrowing journeys” to escape the war.
