Isabelle Jacques, the Assistant Deputy Minister, Financial Sector Policy Branch at the Department of Finance, said Tuesday during a finance committee meeting on the trucker protests that anyone who donated to the trucker convoy protests after Feb. 15 could have their bank accounts frozen, but those who may have donated prior will not have their accounts frozen. Jacques also stated that those who have had their accounts frozen can call their financial provider to begin the steps to have their account un-frozen. She added that the process of un-freezing accounts began yesterday.
