During a news conference Friday, Ottawa Interim Police Chief Steve Bell said that as of 3 p.m. ET local time, 70 people were arrested as authorities work to clear the city of trucker protesters who have occupied the area for three weeks. “We’re in control of the situation on the ground,” said Bell.
