Ukrainian military claims Russian-backed rebels opened fire on a school; no casualties reported

Ukraine’s army claimed on Thursday that a kindergarten in a village in the Luhansk region had been hit by shelling, accusing Russian-backed forces in the eastern part of the country of firing the artillery rounds which struck the school. Video also was released purporting to feature audio said to be the sound of shelling near Donetsk airport and Elenovka, a village in Donetsk province.
