Conservative Party Interim Leader Candice Bergen said on Thursday during debate on the Emergencies Act invocation that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the government had not met the threshold to justify using the act and her party would not support it. She also called on the NDP to vote with the Conservatives and Bloc Quebecois in opposition, saying history would “not be kind” to leader Jagmeet Singh or his members if they vote with the Liberals.
