Ontario Premier Doug Ford still backed his decision to implement a state of emergency this past Friday over various protests in Ottawa and Windsor, Ont. at the Ambassador Bridge, saying progress has been made including the removal of the Windsor blockade. He stressed for those “with the sole objective of causing disruption and chaos,” there would be “serious consequences.” He also lamented how the pandemic has caused polarization among people, saying it’s even impacted his own family, but said there’s “so much” that still holds people together.
