Superbugs: The global health crisis that threatens modern medicine

As the world continues to fight COVID-19, there’s a different global health crisis that has been pushed into the background. Antimicrobial resistance, or AMR, is projected to claim 10 million lives every year by 2050. As Candace Daniel discovered for The New Reality, superbugs were already on the rise and now experts believe the pandemic has made the situation worse.
