Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, Infrastructure and Communities Dominic LeBlanc said Friday that the federal government welcomes Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s declaration of a state of emergency in the province. He said the punitive economic measures against those using trucks in a way that is “illegal and disruptive to public safety and the economy of the country” is a “very, very positive step.”
