New Brunswick’s chief medical officer of health Dr. Jennifer Russell told a press conference on Wednesday that COVID-19 modelling predicts the province could safely reduce public health measures if current restrictions are kept in place for at least another week. She added the province is seeing “the first signs that the Omicron wave is slowing down,” which is evident in a reduction of COVID-19 hospitalizations.
