Former U.S. vice-president Mike Pence spoke out Friday over false claims on the 2020 U.S. presidential election results and the suggestion that as the person who oversaw the counting of the electoral college votes by Congress, he could overturn his and Donald Trump’s loss. He stressed “President Trump is wrong,” that he could not overturn the results and that Jan. 6 was a “dark day,” referring to the riot at the Capitol.
