Bloc Quebecois MP Kristina Michaud suggested during question period on Friday that a “crisis team” should be created for the trucker protests in Ottawa and the minister for public safety should be held accountable during daily press briefings for the ongoing “siege.” Marco Mendicino, the public safety minister replied saying that the federal government has to respect the role of the Ottawa police force to deal with the protests.
